Arjun Sethi
Arjun Sethi is co-CEO of Kraken, one of the most secure and enduring cryptocurrency platforms. He is also Chairman of Tribe Capital, a leading venture capital firm managing $2.2B in assets, with investments in Block, OpenAI, Rippling, and xAI among others. Previously, Arjun was a Partner at Social Capital, where he led the venture team. He co-founded two startups—LOLapps (acquired by 6waves) and MessageMe (acquired by Yahoo). He joined Yahoo’s executive team to lead data and analytics teams and run mobile and emerging products. He also served as a Board Observer, helping to oversee the investment in Alibaba. Arjun has also incubated and co-founded Termina.ai, Kapital, and Foundation Robotics.

Jonathan Hsu
Jonathan Hsu combines an analytical and quantitative background with an operating history across several companies. Before Tribe Capital, Jonathan pioneered applying data science to venture capital as a partner at Social Capital. Before entering VC, Jonathan was an early data science leader at Facebook and co-founder of a small social gaming company that Slide acquired. Jonathan holds a PhD in Physics from Stanford University.

Ted Maidenberg
Ted Maidenberg has 16 years of venture experience as a Co-Founder at Social Capital, a Partner at USVP, and a Director at Time Warner Investments. Ted has managed portfolios through two downturns, helping companies like Slack, Trunk Club, and Saildrone navigate challenging market conditions. Ted graduated from Washington University in St. Louis.

Boris Revsin
Boris Revsin helps to set the firm's strategy. Before joining Tribe Capital in 2022, Boris co-founded Republic Capital, leading the organization from inception to over $1B in AUM. Before Republic Capital, Boris co-founded two venture-backed companies, Breaktime Media (acq. 2015) and VentureApp (now HqO). His investments include Polygon, Avalanche, Kraken, Robinhood, and Klarna. Boris attended the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, studying Computer Science before founding his first company.

Alex Chee
Alex Chee is CEO of Termina, Tribe’s core underwriting platform, and a co-founding partner at Tribe, where he he structures and scales products that compound the firm’s proprietary data and investment strategies. Previously, he led product engineering and co-led the seed investment program at Social Capital. Earlier in his career, Alex founded and held leadership roles at multiple startups, including Joist (acquired by EverCommerce), MessageMe (acquired by Yahoo), and LOLapps (acquired by 6Waves/Nexon). He is currently on indefinite leave from Stanford University.

Jake Ellowitz
Jake Ellowitz is CTO of Termina, Tribe's core underwriting system, and a co-founding partner at Tribe, where he has been instrumental in investments in Kraken, Docker, Carta, Shiprocket, Alpaca, Khatabook, and Hone, among others. As the chief architect of Termina, he led the development of the system used to quantitatively evaluate traction on thousands of venture deals. Previously, Jake was an Investment Engineer at Bridgewater Associates, where he predominantly focused on the Fixed Income asset class. He holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Chicago.

Brendan Moore
Brendan Moore is a Co-founding Partner at Tribe Capital and played an instrumental role in founding the firm’s quantitative investment approach. Today, he leads the Venture team, and serves as a board member at Certn. Previously, Brendan held senior data science and analytics roles at Social Capital, Slack, Remind, and Facebook, where he worked across product analytics, platform insights, and growth analysis. Brendan holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in Economics from Harvard University.

Ali Nahm
Ali Nahm is a Partner on the Venture team, with a background across engineering, product, and company building. She previously worked as a machine learning engineer on Airbnb’s search ranking team and was a founding engineer and later Chief of Staff at Humu. Earlier in her career, she conducted research at the MIT Media Lab. Ali holds an A.B./S.M. in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics from Harvard University and attended Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Jaypal Sethi
Jaypal Sethi is a Partner on the Venture team, focused on enterprise software investments. He serves on the boards of JupiterOne, Aether, and Tranzact, and as a board observer to Docker, Instabase, and LinearB. Previously, he was Senior Vice President of Business Development at Nobl9 and spent over seven years at Google in senior product strategy and Cloud Commerce roles, including following Google’s acquisition of Orbitera. Earlier in his career, he held business development and corporate strategy roles at MongoDB and VMware. He holds a BS in Computer Science from Binghamton University.
